WELCOME TO SUMMIT SKI AND SNOWBOARD!

The original “Ski Shop” was founded in 1977 in the basement of Route 9 and Temple Street here in Framingham. In the early years, the former owner, Andy, sold high-fashion Italian suits alongside his ski equipment.

In 1998, present owner, Teddy Schiavoni, bought “The Ski Shop” and moved the store across Route 9 to the junction of Edgell Rd. This new store, located in an old New England farm home, had a cozy feel with lots of natural light. In 2001, Teddy expanded the service side of the business by adding to the shop. He formed a relationship with former Race Service Director at Volkl Ski, Mike deSantis, and together they developed the service shop as Precision Tuning Center. Mike would later branch out to form his own tuning business, SkiMD, now nationally recognized for its premier tuning and refinishing services. In 2002, Teddy expanded to a second location in Danvers, MA at the Liberty Tree strip plaza. The store was named “Ski Shop North” and the Framingham store became “Ski Shop West”. The separate names were confusing and, for marketing purposes, in 2003 he renamed both stores to Summit Ski and Snowboard. In 2007, the Danvers store was sold and by 2008, no longer a Summit location.

In January 2011, Summit Ski and Snowboard relocated again. Energized, the new store, now located at 686 Worcester Road in Framingham, has grown to nearly three times the size of the former Framingham location. The beautiful natural light flooded, post-and-beam structure has ample shop space, plenty of parking as well as knowledgeable and passionate employees. Summit is able to provide the highest level of customer service and product offerings to its clients.
